Teen Time

Teen Time

Studies show that teens who spend time with their parents have better social skills and higher self-esteem. One study found that time spent with parents doing cultural activities (like discussing books or going on outings) was a better predictor of a teen’s aspirations than time spent together on school activities. Teens are crazy busy at school, we know, but it’s worth spending quality time with them outside of school too.

Hey, there are many ways to spend quality time with your teen!

  • Volunteer together
  • Cook together
  • Fix something together
  • Attend a concert together
  • Read the same book
  • Plan a trip
  • See a show
  • Try a new restaurant
  • Take a fun class
  • Visit a museum
  • Research the family tree
  • Take a tour
  • Learn a new sport
  • Make something (a movie, a website, a craft)
