Listen Together

Listen Together

A recent study showed that listening to music together with our kids, especially during their teen years, has a positive effect on our parent-child relationships when they become adults. Two factors seem to be at play in the shared musical experiences: coordination and empathy. Coordination happens when you sing, dance, or play musical instruments together. Empathy happens by the emotions evoked through the music. Whatever the reason, it’s an easy, and enjoyable, way to help us stay close to our kids when they grow up!
