The Fight for Civil Rights in the South combines two prestigious photography exhibitions covering the African American struggle for civil rights and social equality in the 1960s:  Selma to Montgomery- Photographs by Spider Martin; and Courage Under Fire-The 1961 Burning of the Freedom Riders Bus. EarthX convenes the world’s largest environmental expo, conference and film festival. Founded in 2011 as Earth Day Dallas, the event draws over 175,000 attendees, 2,000 environmental leaders, exhibitors and 400 speakers. The Expo runs 10am-6pm each day. The world’s largest environmental event is taking its film festival online to explore sustainable solutions to today’s most pressing environmental challenges. The free EarthxFilm Festival will showcase pioneers in eco-storytelling through virtual screenings of films and shorts, as well as live streamed conversations with filmmakers, youth leaders and environmental activists. The festival will include extended reality experiences from EarthXR, taking attendees around the world to intimately connect with the wonders of our planet without leaving their homes. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, Earthx2020 will convene virtually as EarthX and The National Geographic Society partner to shine a light on the critical issues facing our planet.
